Upload Image

  • Upload a full body image of your character.
  • Make sure they have an empty, single-color background.
  • Set the "Chroma Key Color" to that background and confirm that the character is being cut out properly.

Generate Videos

Describe the animation you want. Each generation produces a short video you can trim into sprite strips.

Actions

These are behaviors performed by the character. You can drag an animation from the bank above to associate it with an action. Each action can hold multiple animations (they'll cycle randomly).

Personality

Give your oto a name and then write out its personality. This will affect the way it talks.

Voice *

Click the â–¶ on a card to hear a sample, then click the card to select it.

Preview

  • Scale the size of the character, be sure to properly align the collider, and confirm that you're happy with the animations.
  • When done, click publish on the right.

Build at least the idle animation strip to preview your character.

Drag the sprite to place it. Use the blue handle to scale the art and the green handles to shape the collider.
